Spring is no respecter of human problems. Here come blooms and blossoms by the branch and stem-load. The cherry in the front is laden and the crab apple trees aren’t far behind. Even the bay tree has lots of yellow flowers that I never noticed before. Tulips have taken over from daffodils as the bulbs of the moment, though bluebells are giving them a run for their money in shadier spots.
Then there is the bank of honesty that’s sprung up. Last autumn a few handfuls of seeds were scattered here. Now look!
Th camellias are having a wonderful year and elsewhere forget-me-knots and marsh marigolds and lobelia are flourishing. Clematis just beginning to get going….
I would I had some flowers o’ the spring…
