I’ve done a lot of educational material over the years, published in loose leaf folders, magazines, books and increasingly, on-line. Most recently, I’ve written the guide to AQA GCSE Poetry for Cambridge University Press. It was very time consuming but engrossing. Thanks to Andy Mort for the editing!

Guides to lit texts are good for the brain and hopefully helpful to the student and the teacher. I enjoyed the Wilde, Orwell and Sheridan but Richard III was a bit tedious and as for the Duchess of Malfi, I would have strangled her if one of the many villains hadn’t got there first
