Apart from sonnets (see that section) I was writing fewer poems for ‘adults’ until recently. However, the ‘Three Voices’ gigs have given me the impetus to write in various styles, sometimes serious, sometimes comic, and often in collaboration with Dez Allenby or others writers and performers. Collaboration is a wonderful experience when you’re a writer because otherwise, it’s very much a job you do on your own. I also wrote a poem a week in 2021 to raise money for the Wildlife Trust, which raised £1,600 and also motivated me to collect them into ‘Garden Music and other poems’ which I published privately.
