What’s the collective name for poets? An anthology of poets? A twitter of poets? We were all children’s poets, so that might make a difference. (The other males seem to have disappeared while this ‘rainbow’ picture was taken.) We gathered at Folly Farm in Somerset to share workshops, poems, wine and good fellowship. Oh, and song too, of which the ‘Breakfast Calypso’ – in three-part harmony or disharmony – is my favourite. We were especially lucky this year to have Californian poet and performer, Eric Ode and his wife Kim, with us. Yes, that is his name, though pronounced Oh-day – origin, Norwegian. Along the way, we entertained the folks of Chew Magna with our verses. They seemed to have enjoyed it unless this photo was taken when they were told they could now go home.
